ANTHONY'S
SOLO
REVIEWS

This concert was only my third Anthony Kearns solo. What can I say about Anthony that hasn't already been said many times before? Well, I will say it again...Anthony's voice is musical perfection, the voice of an angel. He looked and sounded wonderful!

Most of the songs were new to me, and I loved them all. He sang a mix of Irish, classical, romantic, and amusing songs. My particular favorites were Vienna Mine, Younger Than Springtime, Smilin' Through, Sorrento, and, of course, Girls Were Made to Love and Kiss (complete with Anthony making a kissy face). He also sang an exquisite The Lord's Prayer and dedicated it to a young couple getting married the next day.

The two duets with Patrick, Two Tenors, and The Bould Gendarmes, were nothing short of adorable. Anthony's facial expressions are priceless. Anthony and Patrick perform so well together, and their mutual respect and fondness for each other is obvious. Patrick delighted the audience with songs and funny stories when Anthony took a break.

Both Anthony and Patrick seemed to enjoy the reception afterwards. They autographed, they smiled, they posed for pictures with adoring fans. After the reception was over, I was told that Anthony was seen skipping & dancing, singing & laughing down the hall! What a sight that must have been! Unfortunately for me, I missed it!

I'm amazed at how Anthony's voice just keeps getting better -- it's so much richer and fuller these days. And absolutely nothing can compare to hearing that voice in person. Those of you who are still waiting to see your first Anthony Kearns solo concert are in for an experience you won't soon forget.
