ST.CHRISTOPHER'S CHURCH

St. Christopher's Church in Hobe Sound, FL, was a beautiful setting for
Anthony and Patrick. The alter was decorated with a huge basket of red
and white roses and a beautiful bouquet of mixed blossoms. This
was opened in a most unusual way . . . Fr. Aiden Hynes came out and led
the audience in the singing of "The Star Spangled Banner" after which
he introduced the guys.

I didn't make note of the song list at the time as it had already been
provided and seldom changes; however, it did vary from the previous this
time. At the end of the concert I noticed the program was about 15 minutes
shorter than usual, then a half hour later I realized that Anthony hadn't
sung "A Father's Prayer" and wondered what else had been left out.

By that time I really couldn't say what might have been cut. It was a
thoroughly wonderful concert none the less and extremely well received.
CDs seemed to sell like hotcakes during the intermission.

Patrick's patter varied from Foxboro as well. He spoke of someone
attempting to purchase a stamp in Ireland as well as of an Irish widow
whose husband may or may not have been dead at the wake. He finished
his first stint with the 'dinner grease in the toilet' story (he had also included
Mrs. O'Toole's bloomers in the wash) and then sang "And Her Mother Came
To" to great audience delight. During the second half he did his 'church
bulletins' readings, told the Tosca soprano tale and ended with
"The Modern Major General".

We all love Patrick and enjoy/appreciate his talent at the keyboard; however,
as awe-inspiring as "Granada" is when Anthony sings it, Patrick's
tickling-of-the-ivories is nothing less than a marvel. If/when they record a
full CD, this song had better be on it! It is a perfect showcase for both their talents.

Hobe Sound loved our guys and our guys loved Hobe Sound. Hopefully
there will be a repeat performance at some future date.
