The Lubbock concert was amazing! As busy as he has been lately,
you wouldn't think Anthony could be in top form but he was magnificent.
Other fans around me were busy scribbling away with extensive
notes and I don't want to take away from their reviews. I'll just note
that Patrick was not there and I worried about him all through the show
but Anthony himself assures that Patrick is fine and merely taking a
break since he's been very busy himself lately and will be there for
the fall tour. His replacement was an old friend of Anthony's named
David Wray. It does sound very different with a new accompanist and
they don't have long to adjust to each other but it's still good.
The variety of the program was exceptional...maybe the best to me
since the fall 2007 set. I wish I was going to the two remaining
shows. Don't miss this!
