I was shocked that I had forgotten about the drop dead gorgeous O B
who was always so kind and nice to me, constantly praising my work
and so concerned about my welfare.
His father told me he was over at their Hard Rock Cafe on the other
coast for the weekend, that I should call the Tribe's office and tell
them about the concert as they too would appreciate our Irish
culture and heritage. I do not know if anyone came to the concert
from the tribe. It was huge thrill to speak to Mr. Osceola Snr. as it was he,
with his own two hands, and with the help of others of his tribe, made most
of the Tiki Huts around pools when I first visited Naples, many years ago.
He kept the ancient craft alive, a very humble tradesman despite the
billion dollar contributions his tribe makes to the State from their
gambling operations.
Another very interesting guy who helped with the concert was none other
than Paul Easton, son of the deceased manager of the Rolling Stones. I met
him when I worked as a representative for a dog food company. He is also
a very old friend of the new Food and Beverage Manager Robin and spent
a number of hours helping her. She, Kristin and Keith designed the
beautiful label for Anthony's wine bottle.
A special thank you to Berta Calechman, Soprano for providing the
Mayor with the description of Anthony's vocal ability and to the two
website webmasters who provided immediate help whenever needed
and last but not least to Vincent Mitchell who sent me an email
at 3.30am on the 2nd, that he had delivered the two heros safely to their
location a good few hundred miles from Naples. I noted his email
address stayed on my buddy list for a considerable time, still working
at that time for his many Irish Artists.
Many thank to Maire Peters.
