Opera has been an important part of Anthony's past and promises to play a major role in his future. For these reasons, we felt an Opera Arena should be an integral feature of your "Journey with Anthony Kearns".
We are honored to have Berta Calechman, who has Juilliard School of Music in New York among her many musical credentials, as one of our staff members.
Berta trained in voice, languages, opera and acting at Juilliard and has sung professionally in both opera and concert. She has also studied voice privately in both
New York and New Haven. She has assisted at a Masterclass at the Yale School of Music and is currently coaching in French and in French arias.
Berta, speaking as a professional, tells us that Anthony has the finest voice she has heard in at least ten years. That, in combination for requests for interpretation of his arias, led to our decision to offer "Anthony's Arias" as one of our Opera Arena features.
