Those of you who have seen Anthony and Patrick during the 2003 season have been charmed by their duets. Favorites are "Friendship," specially written by Patrick for the 2003 Gilbert and Sullivan Gala and "We'll Gather Lilacs in the Spring".

And we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the title song of his CD "Hills of Home" a lyrical yearning for homeland which Patrick wrote especially for Mr. Kearns and has quickly become an audience favorite.
THE WHIMSICAL PATRICK HEALY
If you've seen him, you aren't likely to forget him. If you haven't, you have a treat in store. Patrick is a musician, composer and accompanist of international reputation and a raconteur who will leave you rolling in the aisle with tears running down your cheeks. What's more, he's one of the nicest people you could ever meet.
After his years in Rome, he returned to England where he joined the English Opera Group with Peter Pears and Sir Benjamin Britten and appeared in the World Premier of "Curlew River" at the Aldeburgh Festival. He remained in London for 12 years, coaching and accompanying many well know singers.

In 1982, he was honored with a special award from the John McCormack Society.
During this period, he appeared regularly on the BBC, trying his hand at both radio and television as he presented programs on opera in particular as well as on music in general. Many will remember his personal renditions of Irish folk songs. A collaboration with the popular British presenter, Richard Baker, delighted audiences with the "Grand Tour of Melody" and the "Best of Britain" and gave him the opportunity to travel around the world.

Born in Dublin in 1932, Patrick delighted his parents when he showed an interest in piano at the age of three. Pleasant days in Jesuit School are still apparent when he speaks with obviously fond memories of the Nuns who taught and encouraged him.

He attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music and University College in Dublin where he won a scholarship for two years of study in Rome with respected and renowned Italian opera star, Toti dal Monte.
When he isn't with Anthony, in Ireland, or in some other part of the world, Patrick lives in Darbyshire, England. Gardening is one of his favorite pastimes, although he seldom has time to indulge that love.

Talent, charm,a gentleman of the old school, Patrick Healy is the consummate entertainer and, indeed, a very special person
