HALLELUIAH BROADWAY

PBS SPECIAL TAPED IN PRAGUE FEBRUARY 8, 2010
OBSERVATIONS of MARY JO KITTLE
Page 1
I am in the hotel in Prague. I didn't sleep a minute last night, as the plane
(Lufthansa) was too hot and there wasn't enough legroom.

At Frankfurt, I went through the inquisition security. It was much more intense
than Orlando. I had to walk at least 2 - 3 miles in the airport from where we
landed to the gate for the next leg to Prague. I think I was the first one from
the Orlando plane to check in and I arrived at check in about 4 minutes before
they closed the doors!! I just about ran the whole way.

My room, at the President Hotel Prague, is very nice.

I was hungry so I just had a chicken Caesar salad in the hotel restaurant.
The bread that they brought with the salad was the most wonderful bread.
On the flight from Frankfurt, a 40 minute flight, they handed out this
dreadful looking roll with colored cream cheese with olives and pimentos.
Needless to say, I did not even open the plastic package.

After I had the salad, I took the camera outside and first took pictures of
the president's house up on the hill, and then I went across the street
(alley) to the church of St. Simon and St. Jude.

I've just taken some pictures along the river outside my room and of all
the activity across the street at the church. There must be a dozen
television trucks with equipment and men carrying things into the
building. I must be in the right place.

The streets are very narrow, and I couldn't get wide angle pictures of
the church, I was so close to it!!
Church of St. Simon and St. Jude where the taping will take place.
