RAVINIA PAVILION
HIGHLAND PARK, IL
SEPTEMBER 3, 2005
We left our hotel and headed to Ravinia Park. It was 2 hours
before the concert was to start and we couldn't believe the
traffic we found when we got there. Car after car was pouring in.
Once we got in and parked, we saw buses and even trains
that brought people in . I couldn't believe how many people were
already there. The park is huge (36 acres) and
beautiful. Once we entered the park, we saw people in different
eateries and many sitting on the lawn. People celebrating
birthdays and anniversaries, and all waiting to hear "The Irish Tenors." I heard sometime before the concert that the pavilion was sold out. It probably held 3-4000 people.

Many lights started blinking to let everyone know it was
CONCERT TIME.

After a musical intro from Arnie and the orchestra, out
came the Tenors. They looked wonderful, as usual.
All smiling and kind of lightly jabbing each other.
From then on, we knew we were in for a grand evening. During
the concert you could see the affection and respect that they
held for each other. Very at ease and enjoying the concert as
much as we were. Their voices alone are superb but together,
they are just awesome. Each voice has grown
and now they are at their best. Half of the concert was songs from
the new cd that is due out soon. I believe this cd will be the best
they have done so far. The other half was the Irish songs
we love so much and what would a concert would be without
their medleys. You could tell they had a blast with this part.
Those that will see them in the coming weeks are in for a real
treat.
