SAN LUIS OBISPO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA
December 12, 2006
This week has been a week of firsts-going to my first Irish
Tenors concert and writing a review/report/story of the concert.
The concert was held at Performance Arts Center at Cal Poly
and it is a beautiful theatre. Before the concert started, I had
talked to the ushers and they said the concert was sold out
and it was. I didn’t see any empty seats. As my mom and I
took our seats, we had a perfect view of Finbar, Anthony and Karl.
We sat back and to enjoy their beautiful singing and we blown
away as was the audience by their voices. The highlights of the
evening for me were:
Anthony singing the Our Father which was very beautiful
and very moving.
Finbar singing my favorite hymn-How Great Thou Art.
Karl singing I Will Be Home for Christmas
All three them singing Silent Night, O Holy Night and
We Three Kings, the Irish Medley, Amazing Grace and Lord of
the Dance.
It was fun to see their humor through out the concert.
Finbar, Anthony and Karl ended the concert with Danny Boy
and the audience started clapping at the start of the song
and ending with standing ovation. Anthony said something
at the end of Danny Boy but I could not hear what he was
saying over the clapping.
The concert was magnificent. The evening was truly special!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
