FIVE POINTS WASHINGTON
WASHINGTON, IL
OCTOBER 25, 2008
A small but very enthusiastic audience greeted Anthony Kearns and
Patrick Healy to Five Points Washington last Saturday evening.
This is a fairly new, up-to-date, modern theater in Washington,
Illinois and the residents of Washington should be extremely
proud that they have this sort of facility in their home town.

Both Anthony and Patrick appeared relaxed and in very good humor
throughout the evening. The program for the evening was almost
identical to the programs the duo performed in Richmond, Virginia
earlier in the week. There were a few differences. Patrick sang
“Galway Bay” during the first half of the program and an updated
and very appropriate to today version of “The List” from Gilbert
& Sullivan’s "Mikado". Many in attendance loved Anthony’s new
material in the repertoire, especially: " None But The Lonely Heart,"
"When Vienna Sings," " Play Gypsy Play," and "I’m Falling in Love with
Someone". All too soon, the two hours were over and the duo
returned to the stage for an encore. This audience got to hear
“Danny Boy,” which Anthony told them was the first time he has
sung it on this tour, and it made many in attendance extremely
happy. Their second encore was "Granada," which is another favorite
of almost everyone. Patrick remarked to me after the concert that
this was the best Anthony has sung so far on the tour and from
what I heard that evening, it was definitely true.

It was announced during the interval that there would be a
“meet and greet” right after the concert. Anthony and Patrick
were extremely gracious and stayed until every autograph was
signed and every picture was taken, a true mark of what real
gentlemen these two men are.
