Wicklow News

from Marie Collins

Ray and I are staying in the Grand Hotel in Wicklow where Anthony did his concert
tonight in aid of the Friends of The Royal Hospital Donnybrook, Dublin.
The hotel function room venue was booked out. Anthony was joined by soprano
Bronagh Byrne and of course Patrick. Fantastic evening. Anthony introduced
"Younger Than Springtime" by saying he sang it for the first time here in Wicklow
years ago when he played Lt. Cable in the Wicklow Musical Society production of
South Pacific - he mentioned a few of the other cast members by name who
were in the audience tonight and said how much fun they had doing it.

Karen Randall and Maire Peter's are over for the concert and Anthony introduced
both to the audience. He had a quick exchange with Mary in Gaelic before
dedicating the "Serenade" from the Student Prince to the "ladies who had
travelled so far" to attend the concert. At the end both stood to applaud
and acknowledge the dedication. Mary got a lovely wink :-)

I asked Anthony afterwards about the Magic of Vienna in Dublin in May and
he said he is definitely doing it. He will also be going to Carnegie with it but not
on the 1st June as we already know. Himself and Patrick will be recording
Patrick's lullaby "A Father's Prayer" very soon.

Great evening.
